About Us

"Knowledge is power. Information is liberating. Education is the premise for progress, in every society family" are the powerful words of Kofi Aman, Secretary General of United Nations.

These words are the chief impetus that entails in us a sense of responsibility and hence Udaan was founded. Udaan is an initiative to teach, empower and enable the development of the underprivileged living in the vicinity of our city. Just like the movie 'Pay It Forward', our deep-seated belief is that knowledge is power and educating one person will lead to a chain reaction thus spreading our motive to the masses. This organization was founded by a group of students of Amity University Haryana, with a vision of helping the society from the ground level under the guidance and support of Maj. Gen. (Retd) G S Bal.

The idea was laid down in 2015 with just 5 kids, who were roaming here and there, were picked up and with their parent's supervision and support, they were made up for getting started. That's were their pathway to a better future and life began. Due to continuous efforts and dedication of Team Udaan, now all of the kids are going to the school. We're grateful to Amity University for providing such a stage and supporting us through out. Hoping and working for the best. Regards.
